You have surpassed me in the "Needs to find something better to do with his time." category.

A dubious achievement indeed..........

Congratulations Bob.

Anyway - I have overpassed all of you:

A dubious honor indeed.

I look at my post count like an alcoholic looks at the sea of empty bottles strewn all over his floor.

In my case, Tom, it is different. I am nothing but a post whore... :D

That's "only" 28,122.

I'm a little ahead of (or behind) you. I've got 15,661 here on PC and 13,326 on AK for a total of 29,987.

I need to get a life!

A life? What is that? Is there actually something beyond my desktop???

:D

29987 is not that bad. Okay. ;)

But take care. I am a pretty busy poster... ;)

Well, Sandy did slow down over there a bit recently... ;)

I am glad that you are still active on AK, many of the forum pioneers left the show in the last months - probably forever, like Bigerik, pioneervato, mhardy, tentoze and a lot of others. Arkay has withdrawn completely, fisherdude almost completely, the rest of the bunch openend an own tavern, called Hifihaven. Pity.

Merrylander has withdrawn from AK as well, but it is nice to see him still here from time to time.

The atmosphere has changed somewhat over there. It's not quite as "nice" as it once was. There is still a lot to be learned there, and a large number of friendly, helpful people.

All I can say is that the atmosphere in forums like the Classical music today's playlist and the Jazz music today's playlist is still totally great. And the atmosphere in the General Off Topic forum is still also fantastic. I am not so familiar with the technical forums. Anyway - the all in all atmosphere has actually changend a bit to the worse since last October. You are right.

There are new members like Denten and Nikita, wonderful guys, and there will be certainly be more new members who will enrich the community. I am sure that the spirit of AK, whatever THAT precisely might be, will recover in the next months.

I'm posting a lot less frequently on AK as well. I don't have any "issues", really, but it all seems like one big boring déjà vu. There are just so many times you can read or participate in the same topic.

Who said anything about leaving?

Or is that a recommendation?

3724 + 1953 = 5677. Guess I must still have other stuff to attend to. Be 10 years at AK and 7 here this year.

I was a big poster until my life radically changed ~3 years ago.

I'd like it to change back so that I can re-engage.

It is sad to hear that many whom I remember have moved on... I recall the days of Thor's CVs... :(

Okay, I guess I'll forgive you this time. :D

Same here. I thought vintage audio is what started the whole thing?

I no longer go there unless I have a question or want to check out Bartertown. That and I just sense a "coldness" there now. It's just not the same friendly atmosphere it once was.

I would agree with that and also note that the amount and the level of petty feuding has increased significantly. It almost seems like here. ;)

I agree. Maybe Grumpy needs to draft 'Tose and a couple more like him to moderate and get the place cleaned up.

Since October I posted about 2500 times in this forum and I got more than 1700 likes. It is a cosy friendly place and the atmosphere is great. Yes - I am talking about Audiokarma.

Political Chat is a (pretty) cold place.
