Looks like congress is trying to reign in Trump to some degree.

They starting to understand that he acts impulsively and can't be trusted. What took them so long?

Because this is nothing more than a nod to the rabid political left...you know the type...and likely gives Dems in Congress a modicum of political cover going into the 2018 election cycle.

Moderating political discourse through leading by example? Nah....

His increasingly unhinged tweeting could possibly get him impeached for evidence of mental instability.

More like distancing from a rabid POTUS.

Why would the Reps gives the Dems political cover? I'll answer it for you. They wouldn't. :D

You're delusional. Congress has demonstrated that they don't trust Trump to follow through with Russian sanctions, nor do they trust his judgment in Syria.

This congress would do that??
Highly unlikely.

Bernstein: We are in the midst of a 'malignant presidency'

http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/01/politics/bernstein-calls-trump-presidency-malignant-cnntv/index.html

"I think something much greater is happening, and that is that we are in the midst of a malignant presidency," he said. "That malignancy is known to the military leaders of the country. It's known to the Republican leadership in Congress who recognize it, and it's known to the intelligence community."

"That has got our leaders worried," he continued. "They are worried about his character. They are worried about his capabilities. They are worried about his temperament and state of his temperament, to use kind words here."
