. . . with an IQ greater than 55? They get their knickers in a twist because not enough jobs were added. So then they put the market in the toilet. This greatly reduces everyone's investments so they stop buying, and we really circle the bowl.:rolleyes:

To answer you question; No. They are guided by two base emotions; Greed and Fear.

Let's see...The market slips, so what do you do? Why panic, dump everything, then get in front of the camera and scare the shit out of the rest of the country so that everyone else panics and hoards their money as well. Making the market fall some more. Gotta love it. Sometimes I wonder if the economy would actually improve if we forced the market to close for a week or two?

If Wall Street hasn't figured out that they are often their own enemy (and ours) by now---they never will.

In the risk/reward equation, it seems that Wall Street is always focused on the reward. The only attention they give to risk is how to pass it on to someone else.
