We've all seen this coming for a while now. The Far Right Republicans definitely intend to loose their crazies. Soon, I believe there will be blood in the streets. Especially if these lunatics don't get their way in November.
I think it's time for everyone, regardless of your beliefs to stop and think;

"Do I really want this?"

For my part, the answer is no. However, maybe having a bunch of obssessed hotheads go off and wreak havoc will make more sensible people wake up to the true nature of this movement.

I've told people for years now, "The First shots will come from the right. If there is to be any violence, it will be the right that instigates it."

I've spent a large chunk of my life being treated like an idiot for saying it, but...........Well, just look a t the f**kin' video.

I hope I'm wrong, but it's looking like I'm not.

"Gather your armies." Actually that wingnut in Alabama got it wrong. I think what he meant to say is "gather your militia."

Ain't gonna be no blood in the streets.

He's trying to appeal to people like me to turn out and vote, which I would do anyway.

And once I do that, I'm gonna park my ass right back in my chair, where it's cool, and protect my assets by not doing something so stupid as starting to shoot people.

The people that go around shooting people aren't politically involved in the first place.

It's going to happen. In fact, it's already happening. This guy in Oakland last Sunday is just the latest example. The problem is nobody in a position to prevent it has the will to try and some of them actually want it to happen.

The growing certainty on my part that right wing mayhem is inevitable is what has made me such an asshole for the last little while. I hate the people who are willing and even eager to see this tragedy befall our country. As a result, it's difficult for me not to feel much the same way about the people who dance to their tune.

Yes, in accepting the behavior of Fox in leading these radicals one becomes part of the problem.

We expect non radical Muslims to speak out against their radical counter parts shouldn't we expect the same from the right now?

True. But that's you. You're a sensible human being.

I have relatives who are buying up ammunition, because they are idiots who believe every word Glenn Beck tells them. My redneck brother really does believe Obama in the Whitehouse means "the Socialist Ni**ers are coming to kill us", I've endured hours of listening to paranoid horsecrap about how "white people are being bred out of existence" and trust me, he is heavily armed, and he is not alone. Oh, speaking of that my dear Sister from New Jersey is coming to visit, I love her with all my heart, but her husband is even worse than my brother.

The next few weeks are going to be horrible.

(The interesting sidenote is this; These guys around here think all "Yankees"
are "liberal pansies". They are totally without a clue just how batshit crazy some of us are......)

No doubt, the rhetoric and been hot and heavy for a couple of years, and with a tendency to redefine the actual intent of the opposing sides views.

If they really are THAT insane, I wouldn't let them in the house, relatives or not.

People get worked up, say things they probably shouldn't, but they're gonna do the same thing they did the day before.

Go to work, pay their bills, stuff as much as they can in their 401, cuss the 6:00 news, go to bed...and then get up the next day.

The vast majority of Americans may get a case of the ass, but they inherently understand that once the first volley is fired, they can kiss goodby to everything that they've been working for, often for years.

Now I can appreciate your dilemma. Having a house full of guests who you are 180 degrees out with politically would be hard to bear. Especially if they won't let it lie.

Personally, I'd carry my crow call. When they got on my nerves, I'd pull it out of my pocket and blow on it. Then tell them I knew how to get on people's nerves too. After that, just taking it out of your pocket will make your point, and without getting into an argument.

Olt makes a dandy. It'll wake up the dead.

I like the way you think, Chas.

Mine was five bucks (but it's 30 years old) and they're way more obnoxious than an air horn.
