Can't allow one of them godless heathens to do that. This is America!

LOL, this has also crossed my mind, along with what would happen if the prayer in school fanatics actually got what they are demanding, as it applies to those of the islamic faith.

be careful what you ask for, eh

So is he any good?

Is he the one SNL did the skit on back a few?

I don't follow him, would have probably never heard of him if it weren't for the religious hoopla.

But he starts for Denver. And he's going up against the Pat's (someone correct me if I'm wrong), which put him, and his team into the post season.

He's a tough kid, and has the talent to beat ya.

He ain't no slob.

Chas

PS: You're correct on SNL. I saw the clip, it was pretty good.

He has been messing up the pundits.

Pundits.......he is not accurate!
The last play against against the Steelers.......the most accurate pass one could ever desire from a QB. I call it the Blitzkrieg pass! Not one you would expect from a christian! :D

I think it's interesting that one biblethumper comes along who is good with the pigskin, and suddenly it's conclusive proof that being a biblethumper is prerequisite to being good at football.

Nevermind the sea of good ball players around and preceding him......................

Tebow was born in the Philippines. There are Muslim insurgents in the southern Philippines. Ipso facto, Tebow is a Muslim. I hear he also has a Philippine anti-colonial worldview.

Very interesting question! I know a few Muslims, and they are ferry nice indeed. It's just the extremists that give a bad name to the religion. All religions have extremes, and Muslim extremism is what's going on most right now. (yes, I'm Jewish)

Sonny's great. He and Sam Huff still do Redskins games on radio. I know many folks who will tune into the radio show and turn off the TV volume just to listen to Sonny. He's a regional treasure.

During his playing days Sonny and that era 'Skins team was enough to switch me from being a (Baltimore) Colts to a Redskins fan. They ere all great! With the current crop of teams, players and especially owners, I'm not even a football fan any more.

Seems a lot of players aren't either. (http://www.mercurynews.com/breaking-news/ci_20804749/mega-lawsuit-by-former-players-says-nfl-hid)

Oh, and if Tebow were a Muslim, I don't think it would make a helluva lotta difference to me. A zealot is a zealot... and he'd still be a mediocre QB.

With Dan Snyder at the helm now that JC Cooke passed, my interest in the 'Skins has waned considerably, as it has with Peter Angelos' Orioles. Two gawd-awful owners. I'm am, however, digging the Nationals (and Va Tech football, of course).

I've long given upon Angelos' Orioles. He took them from one of the best teams in the major leagues (at one time, I believe in the '80s, the O's had the best historical winning percentage in the majors) to one of the worst. Living where I do now, I've been tempted to become a Giants fan, especially since the Orioles' best announcer, John Miller, is the Giants' announcer and the team colors are the same. ;)
