Hello all,

I'm a regular on AK and thought I would check in here to see what is going on. Romney's pick of a running mate got my political curiosity going again.

For the record I used to vote Republican until I figured out their agenda. I still hold some conservative views but since the Bush era I consider myself independent. Overall I'm just disgusted with almost everything happening at the federal level regardless of party. Their brains have gone to mush and seem to believe any BS that comes from K Street.

We' uns cuss and spit with a little badgering thrown in for good measure but the mantra here is that the arena of ideas is paramount and the first amendment is pretty much holy. Namecalling is somewhat frowned upon but tolerated as you'll see perusing the threads.
