That's what the insurance industry has been spending to defeat health care reform. E v e r y d a y. And they're paying execs huge bonuses. If they can do that, you suppose they could survive with a little competition?

Treat the provision of medical care as a public service as much as a police force or fire department. It's sharing the cost of protecting our heallth because it is important enough that it should be available to all.

Speaking of giving profits priority over health, has anyone been watching the sendup Dilbert has been giving pharmecutical sales this week? Good stuff.

D-Ray.

I've only been in favor of it since before I was old enough to vote, which was a little bit after Jerry Ford was appointed President.

I think you kind of nailed it. Folks believe that what is good for the ruling class is also good for them, but it ain't.

They didn't always. Not 'till the great con-municator did his magic.

I don't know why y'all are complaining, after all we have the finest government money can buy.

I don't understand why you would expect anything else since we are the only country where bribery aka lobbying is legal.

Funny thing is that they're spending that much so they don't have to.
