Meet Susan Muranishi

Muranishi is the Alameda County administrator.

She is set to retire and is cashing in the golden government parachute at the tune of $423,664 a year.

FOR LIFE :eek:

According to county pay records, in addition to her $301,000 base salary, Muranishi receives:

– $24,000, plus change, in “equity pay’’ to guarantee that she makes at least 10 percent more than anyone else in the county.

– About $54,000 a year in “longevity” pay for having stayed with the county for more than 30 years.

– An annual performance bonus of $24,000.

– And another $9,000 a year for serving on the county’s three-member Surplus Property Authority, an ad hoc committee of the Board of Supervisors that oversees the sale of excess land.

And don't forget the 8,292-a-year car allowance



Compare that to the President of the United States annual pension of 450K

What's funny Dave, is that she will make more than Patraeus, a 4 star general and ex CIA director and just under the Prez to boot. I personally don't have an issue with Patraeus pay.

Maybe it was like that place in Cali (the name Bell rings) where the town council paid temselves obscene salaries. I think I read recently that the law caught up with them and jail time was indicated.
