The state of Coahuila (Mexico) which borders Texas reads like another planet.

Investigative journalist, Ignacio Alvarez, ran three articles on the violence/corruption in Coahuila.

Of the three I find the second most interesting.
He proffers that a big petro land grab took place under the cover of narco violence.

That clerk who was with the Army in Mexico City is even less known and I believe more consequential.

From the article by Ignacio Alvarez these Moreira brothers are real nasties.

The PRI party which has its foundation in nationalization of Mexican petroleum
industry has now turned to the more modern and profitable privatization schemes.
