Actually, Pope Frank was an adherent to the philosophy of liberation theology which many, including the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (the Inquisition), believe is a synthesis of Christian and Marxist principles. I tend to agree and think that's a good thing.

Compassion requires empathy which the right wingers do not possess. Which is why they collect a bunch of token representatives like 'Joe the plumber'. Party of the right to me means "we are right and STFU".
