"I think in the age of political correctness we become so open-minded our brains have literally fallen out of our head. Starbucks REMOVED CHRISTMAS from their cups because they hate Jesus. Do you realize that Starbucks wanted to take Christ and Christmas off of their brand new cups? That's why they're just plain red."

- Joshua Feuerstein, an Arizona-based evangelist.

Ooh....look at the festive red cups...

Are they from SATANNNNNN?????????

Christians have become so paranoid and defensive in their intolerance of everyone else.....I'm surprised they don't drag the Baristas from the restaurants and burn them at the stake......

I am a christian. I do not attend church exactly because of this type of BS.

Besides, what exactly is Christmas but a huge marketing opportunity? I don't see Christians bemoaning how Christmas has become nothing but mass consumption......

Don't worry when Dr. Ben Carson is President he will fix this problem.

it's a "new clean look" a common approach/goal in retail packaging in order to execute change

change is important to capture attention as this has accomplished

Right, very far right.
Have you been following the Ted Cruze story on NPR?

"If you need a coffee chain to be your ambassador of Christ you need to re-examine your relationship w/God," one Twitter critic wrote.

Succinct. ;)

Anyone who designs anything could design it with Jesus. Anyone who looks at anything could be looking at Jesus.

Are you looking at Jesus? What are you choosing to look at instead of Jesus?

Better repent right now!

Hypothetically if I am a Muslim am I allowed to hold a cup in my hands that says 'Merry Christmas'. Probably not so see where this is going then? Scary indeed.

"Let's start a movement and let's call it, I don't know, hashtag Merry Christmas Starbucks," said Feuerstein, who also said in the video that he wore a Jesus Christ shirt and took a gun into Starbucks with him, "since you [Starbucks] hate the 2nd amendment." Esquire

With Jesus! Since you can decorate with Jesus, why would you choose to decorate with anything else--unless you hate Jesus!

It's not what it is. It's what it isn't. Previous holiday cups had things like snowflakes and Christmas tree ornaments printed on them, all well known religious icons.

This is truly the dumbest "War on Christmas" scam yet.

wish there was a Tim Hortons near me so I could boycott Starbucks to an even larger degree. It has been at least a year since I have indulged.
I am indifferent to the whole Christ/Christmas nonsense, I just say Merry Christmas, if they don't like it they will get over it.
I like the fact that many of us get together with our family. other than that it is mega corp free for all with many people spending what they do not have.
I am non religious BTW.

You could probably count those people on the fingers of one hand. Now, the number of people who get offended if you wish them "Happy Holidays"? That's a different story. These jerks get torqued because you've somehow "insulted baby Jesus" by using a greeting that embraces, in addition to Christmas, holidays that are those associated with other religions or no religion. This, of course, is intolerable to the Christian Taliban.

Happy Hollandaise works for me.

Serve eggs Benedict on a hubcap for Christmas, because,

Christmas is fun for kids so putting up a tree, decorating it and putting presents under the tree is rather festive. Once they get older, might as well teach them realities of life such as there is no Santa and it costs well earned money to buy presents. Might as well find out what they need and let them choose. As for adults they should know better that it is just one giant marketing strategy to bankrupt the less fortunate.

In college (Chicago) I had a great part time job where we used to prepare artwork and plates for catalogs for some major national retailers. Sears was our biggest customer. I learned early on how this is rigged from the getgo.
