They truly believe they're being persecuted, notwithstanding the fact that every President, 90% of Congress and 71% of Americans are Christian. Given those numbers, it seems to me that the 71% have disproportionately high representation in Washington.

I thought the holiday was largely historically a promotion of the retailers in the US.
I prefer it to fabricating a military conflict for profit, commercial secular holidays are fine with me.
