It is a little strange eh? I'm still mowing the grass weekly.... went for a 20 mile bike ride yesterday. Lovely weather I guess.

It is nice weather.

And I'm enjoying not having much in the way of heating bills.

But it's also ominous as a sign of climate change that seems to be accelerating.

Just came in from raking oak leaves, soaked with sweat. It's humid as hell too.

22 bags this time, 25 two weekends ago. (50 gallon bags.)

At least that's the last of it. I'm done until next fall. Gawd, what a mess!

Been there done that. Then I hit on the idea of blowing them out sort of evenly over the lawn, and mowing them in. That was better.

Me too.

Raking and bagging is a pain in the ass.

It's almost fifty degrees here and the wind is blowing 20. Time to dig out my old North Face down coat.

Time for Nancy to break out the Chevelle and go for a drive before winter sets back in, Dave. :)

My new house has no trees, so for the first time in 35 years I did not have to rake this year.....:D

33 in Jonesborough...with a dusting of snow, just enough to crunch when you walk on it.

It's the day before Christmas.

And I'm running my air conditioner.

But there is no such thing as global warming.

That's just a stupid libtard hoax.

I had to run the AC in my car on the way back from picking up my kids at the airport.

On Dec. 21st, we just broke a record for the wettest December in Portland. It has literally rained every day this month, and we still have a week to go. It is also the all time wettest month ever recorded at the airport, our major data site. Kind of strange since we had a dry beginning to the year and one the driest summers and the hottest summer on record. We are now almost four inches above average for rain. It has been horrible for Denise's depression, which is one of the reasons we are moving to central Oregon. Only issue now is where we are moving to is often one of the coldest spots in the state during winter.

It was only 70 out here in the burbs so I just left the kitchen door open.

Can't remember that we ever had such a weather phenomenon at the same time in Europe and in Northern America.

Window is wide open (64°), no clouds in the sky, on the hazelnuts the bees are busy, I hear a flock of sheep in the distance, just Spring...

I got tired of a hot and stuffy house and also turned the air conditioning back on yesterday. Tried just leaving the doors and windows open but it's raining too much. Yes, this is a first.

Heading to Charleston today, I'm told that I will need shorts.

Still though...global warming is a liberal hoax right?
