My wife wanted a rock garden so to clear the ground I used some of that shit and over the next few weeks I found two dead birds out there. Plus the weeds started back. So I switched to Pool Salt and so far no more weeds or dead birds.

I don't use it - unless I am feeling motivated enough to actually pull them up by the roots, they get the weedeater once a week and some more mulch thrown on top of them.

A few years back we had a West Nile scare here. The county overreacted and nuked the mosquito population. Killed all the insects. Birds moved away to find food. It was like Silent Spring.

At the rate farmers are using it on genetically modified corn the cobs are likely loaded with it. I would not trust Monsanto at all.

I left a good part of my yard grow wild this year. Many of those "weeds" are putting lovely flowers, lots of them.

Monsanto, They have been for a few years now moving from chemicals to mono crops. Why? Because profit again. STERILE SEED which means you sow the seed, harvest the crop. BUT, you cannot save some of the seed to sow again because its sterile. SO, back to the seed supplier who can charge what the hell they like for you to buy more sterile seed off them. But the main thing to think about is, IF the seed gets a virus it cannot fight it off. Oh that's ok we will cross breed back to other varieties. MY ASS, the reliable varieties have gone. We have used mono seed. Why? profit for the few once again.

We don't have kudzu up here, but we have vetch. Luckily none in our immediate area yet.
As far as dandelions go, I've found a well fed and watered lawn will choke them out. I'm sure those who pay for water don't have that option though.
