News that matters :p
Four mountain climbers had to be rescued from England's highest peak after they became "incapable of walking due to cannabis," police say. The drug-induced predicament caused a three-hour rescue operation Saturday on 3,210-foot Scafell Pike in Cumbria's Lake District. A police spokesperson posted the following on social media: "Persons phoning Cumbria police because they are stuck on a mountain, after taking cannabis. Now having to deploy [mountain] rescue, air support and ambulance to rescue them. Words fail us ..." The four men were safely brought down by Wasdale mountain rescue volunteers at 9:45 p.m., police said. http://www.sfgate.com/weird/article/...pid=fb-desktop |
