Wow, really dead here...
I expected a few more of the usual suspects to show up. :(

Watched Gone Girl last nite. Pretty good flick. Lots of twists and turns.

Almost ran over a guy on a bicycle this morning. I was turning right onto a busy street so I'm watching the traffic coming from the left, start to pull out and another old guy comes bicycling up from my right. Hit the brakes and the guy does that sort of slow wobble thing on his bike, gives me a dirty look and keeps going. If he'd been there a second earlier, I might have knocked him down. Murray |

I've been riding the Road Glide a lot the last couple of weekends. Rode Mount St. Helens last weekend and went up Hwy 14 to Bridge of the Gods, crossed over to Oregon, then came back down I-84 today. Stopped by Multnomah Falls for a leg stretch on the way. Denise likes to occupy herself by playing with her tablet phone.

I enjoy hearing of rambles up and down the Columbia. My grandparents lived in White Salmon, and some long summer visits were very idylic passages in my childhood.
|
The Gorge is a beautiful place to ride. I like the Washington side on the bike as it is mostly gently winding 2 lane highway vs the chaotic freeway on the Oregon side. Thinking about a ride to the coast next weekend.

Cool pics. Nice grab of you in the mirror.

Nice pics. I remember when I was the one that got stuck cleaning out the engine compartment of a TV reporters' 914 that he took up to the eruption years ago. Man getting all that ash out without making any mess was something else, it was like a super fine powder.

Just took a brief tour of the "regular" topics @ the various discussion boards that comprise Political Chat, and was surprised there's not a board dedicated to discussion of Firearms. Seems like that's be a natural.
|
Maybe there's a "2A" discussion board that I overlooked?

Just awaiting the return. I too have been surprised at the lack of AK carryover. |

I think most are afraid of themselves and how they will react if tempted into the mainstream of the site. Not sure why there isn't a gun topic. Trust me, if you type "guns" into the title search you will come up with plenty of hits. I guess there is enough violence lately that a lot of it goes into current events and then beaten to death. Maybe talk to Don or Pete if you would like one. They could be afraid that someone might get so excited or angry in it that it may lead to a heart attack or to some actual violence between members. It is a very heated love/hate topic and there ain't much in between.

I am against free speech, however, if it's about something I don't like. Those folks need to be silenced. :) Lol at Carl's family values post. I think she meant "family values for others." A lot of that kind of thinking going around. Murray |

Of course, if you want to indulge, there's this. The group was started by and subscribed to by a dozen or so members here but no conversations ever took place. Maybe you could start it rolling. |
Nice looking, though. She may want to think about "eye values" too. More than a little silly not wearing some kind of eye protection whilst firing on a range.

Not sure how the heck it came back and hit me but it did. That was enough to convince me. Murray |
Reloaded cart, perchance? Could mean metal fatigue from repeated resizing/bullet seating.
And an overloaded .357 puts a lot of unburned powder out the barrel, where it gets to explode like explosives always want, in all directions. Which, as you experienced, includes back your way. |
