Radioactive Fish

Pretty interesting article.

http://www.latimes.com/news/science/...,3785100.story

I guess scientists may use the information in order to help endangered or overfished sea creatures.

The fish industry will soon have their own researchers to counter this. :D

I think the radiation is significant in that is it allows for tracking since it is a specific type...perhaps a fish already has a certain amount of radiation. It alludes to the banana in the article has having radiation inherent to it.

If you eat a banana prior to an xray it can be seen.

Never leave an hope and a prayer when eating food.

Everything is contaminated or labeled to mislead.

One has to just hope that one's resistance is strong enough or that the
negative effects will not sufficiently impair the body or mind.

In Europe there is the horse meat and in Kenya the donkey meat. :D
WTF is in our hamburgher?

As to fish, Marvin Gaye has sung about this from the sixties.

Me, too. Highly allergic to shellfish. I never could see the benefit of eating insects anyway...;)

Lots of protein!

I was watching this prison movie in which the new prisoner was discarding the worms from his meal and the old prisoner was advising him against doing so because....that is only protein in the meal.

I cannot remember the name of th movie. Probably "Papillon".

Yup, Papillion it was! I liked that scene in 'The Shawshank Redemption" where the old fella, Brooks the librarian, was saving them for his pet crow.
