What kind of brush? Natural bristle, polyester or nylon? Was the polyacrylic water based or oil based? Mineral spirits is what I've used with success.

it was oiled base and synthetic brush proly nylon,im am going to go get some turpentine and try it.also gonna get some of those throw away foam brushes/spreaders they are only 35 cents apiece, might be a better solution.no cleanup

Sounds like a plan. With oil based varnish use natural bristle brush and mineral spirits or turp to clean. Hang dry and store in the envelope it came in. The cheap bristle brushes are less that worthless, they shed.

Once that stuff cures, it's pretty difficult to break it down. Like paint. So...

If all else fails and I really want to try to resurrect a brush...I try letting the bristle end sit in a little bowl of Strypeeze or some other paint remover, and then rinse it out with water. Several times, soak and rinse. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Lacquer thinner.

I thought china bristle was for oil based and Synthetic bristles for water based?

If Mineral spirits failed my guess is the brush is gone'r

I found a cheaper solution the foam disposable @35 cents each or 20@$2,I hardly ever use a brush so not worth buying quality ones, plus the foam ones washed out real nice with dawn so cheap solution, thanks for the help preciate it,i will show my project in a day or two,it's pretty cool.
