Can the cons here explain to me why GW put the Pharmaceutical companies ahead of the elderly in the first place?

The following question applys to GW and anyone else:

Where does this fit into the Constitution?

"We the people......to promote the general welfare......"

because the pharmaceutical complanies make much larger campaign contributions than the elderly do.

Since when has anyone paid attention to the Constitution?

So are you saying that the government should not negotiate price with it's suppliers?

I'm saying that Federal government should have never been involved in health care in the first place.

The story is about gaining concessions for a program that Bush put in place.

Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Kennedy...it doesn't matter. IMO the Feds have no business being in the business.
