RIP Casey Kasem
The Top 40 Countdown radioman has passed at 82 years young.
RIP Casey, you turned a whole generation or two or three onto some great music. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=599043 |
Him I'll miss, Paul Harvey not so much.

Seem like a nice guy.

Kasey was famously a difficult perfectionist as reflected in the thoroughly professional results.

Listened to him till puberty or a little after. I still occasionally listen to the 70s reruns on weekends hereabouts.

And so much great voice work too. What would Scooby-Doo have been without Casey's Shaggy?

I can hear his voice rattling around my MT head.....
RIP Casey! |
RIP Casey.
He was one of the few connections that overseas military brats had to the U.S. during the 1970s. We listened to his Top 40 show on the Armed Forces Radio and Television Network (AFRTN) station. |
