Just Ran into Jamie Raskin

My wife and I met our two sons, their wives and our eldest's boy for a walk along Rock Creek this morning before lunch at an Ethiopian restaurant and a visit to a local brewery in Silver Spring, MD. Our eldest son mentioned that he ran into Jamie Raskin on the trail a couple of weeks ago. As luck would have it, we ran into him again, taking a walk with his wife and dog. We exchanged pleasantries and told him to keep up the good work. We feel lucky to have such a fine, principled man as our Congressman.

Spring is springing and Rock Creek park is the place to be. Lots of memories thereof.

Sligo Creek was a close substitute for us Takoma Park socialists...

Rock Creek Park is an amazing piece of property (1750 wooded acres) in the midst of a major city. It is chock full of wildlife from deer to even the occasional black bear. Before COVID, Beach Drive was closed to motor vehicles on weekends. Now it has become full-time biker/hiker only.
