Feds Target Calif. Pot Dispensaries For Closure
I've been waiting for this to happen...http://news.yahoo.com/feds-target-ca...214928760.html

It'll be interesting to see what happens with DC's recently passed medical marijuana law. They fine-tuned the law to reduce the amount of shenanigans like those in CA, but nonetheless will ultimately have pot dispensaries within walking distance of the Justice Department. It should prove interesting/amusing.

That is truly sad. You should be able to stop on your way home from work and pick up a few joints at 7-11, whenever you like. If America really was a "free country" you could. But, it's not, so you can't.
Truly sad. Dave |
the poeple running pot clubs will, hafta get jobs or go underground they have been raking it in too long
they should also make tobacco illegal it's ridiculously harmful but has a more effective payola system and congressional lobby group. |

Pot could be a bigger money maker for the gubmint than tobacco is.
Arkansas grows 90% of the worlds rice supply. Rice is our #1.. ahh..#2 cash crop behind good old weed. Pot is #1 because of the overinflated value put on it so the judicial drug task forces here can pull up five plants and claim they seized $500,000 in illicit drugs. Throw in an eight ball or two of meth and we got another $25,000 seized. Along with all the guns, cars, and property they seized is good publicity to feed the idiots cheerleading them while they down Ativan, Alcohol. and all the other mind bending "legal" meds they take. I am not an illegal drug user. I can't be, I have to pass a DOT whiz quiz every year (HPB) and am subject to random drug testing at the company I work for. I can drink all the alcohol I want after work, Hell, it is encouraged. I take Diazipam (BP control), Tramadol (synthetic opiate for chronic shoulder pain), and drink. That can really fuck you up, but is legal. Two years ago I purchased several bags of weed to help a good friend deal with chemo treatments for breast and, later pancreatic cancer. She passed away at the same age as Steve Jobs. It helped her cope a lot with the cancer treatments. I have no regrets. Hypocricy at it finest hour...The "war on drugs". |
The distortion of the sentencing guidelines by the severity of the sentence for drug offenses disturbed many judges who were constrained to impose greater sentences on drug offenders that an armed robber.

Yet another lie from Obama. He is far worse than Bush ever could have dreamed. Not only has he kept damn near all of the Bush policies in place but he's gone back on every promise he made to the country aside from the terrible health care bill.
