I was wondering when he was going to get honest about the whole thing.

I have had the same thing happen to me as well as being asked to help get something off a shelf.

Of course, if you are black it is racism

This is what Mr. Obama said.

“There’s no black male my age, who’s a professional, who hasn’t come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn’t hand them their car keys," he said, according to excerpts of the interview released today.

Not someone asking for casual help which happens for all of us. I remember helping an older lady with her bags at O'hare airport a few years back and she insisted on tipping me even after I said, "I am well off and don't need your money, give it to charity".

In this thread, ZJ offers a BS apples-to-oranges false equivalency. Why? To try to say that Obama is wrongfully complaining of racial stereotyping. Why.....?

I spend as much time with blacks as I do whites. They live all around me.

There is definitely racial profiling.

But, somebody thinking you might be a valet , or somebody asking a tall lady to help them get something.

Give me a break.

They are about as far as you can get from real profiling.
