Apparently it dropped 700 points even as it opened.

Dow is up +165 @ 12:05PM Eastern. NASDAQ & S&Ps also holding solid. The Japanese shut their eyes to a new day and are paying for it.
BTW, the EUROZONE bourses (Italia excepted), after a rocky start, rallied. Hell, the DAX is up (nearly) 164 points. Don't seem to me that Big Finance be frightened, terrified, etc., by the prospect of a Trump administration. Methinks they're happy to (soon) see the backside of BO and not see the frontside of the Queen Of Chaos. Big Bizniss ain't always FOR war, y'know. |
One suspects that Wall Street, possibly all Big Finance, smell massive deregulation in the air...
