The amendment was written by a Republican from Alabama.

It has occurred to me that the drive to relax concealed carry license requirements, and this, may represent parts of a militia/paramilitary political scheme. That is, after all, a solution to the republican 'demographic dilemma.'

Damn!

Those old GI issue .45's are collectors items that are worth some serious cash.

Not to mention they have awesome knockdown power (for self defense of course). I want one!

The Military made a big mistake retiring those for the dinky little Beretta 9mm.

"By law, the CMP "can sell ... only to members of CMP affiliated clubs who are also U.S. citizens, over 18 years of age and who are legally eligible to purchase a firearm," according to eligibility requirements posted on its website. On top of that, although the CMP is allowed by law to sell guns across state lines, it is not covered by the Gun Control Act, and is not required to keep records tracking purchasers."

Oh great. :( Time to send an email to my Senators and Representative Dana 'Moonhed' Rohrabacher.

Run 'em through a rolling mill until they're a 1/8" thick, suitable for framing. :)

That's fine for those cheap assed Saturday nite Specials, but not for those classic old GI .45's!
