You cannot delete your account!
 

I asked an admin how to delete my account, and he answered: you can't; you just stop posting.

From a privacy perspective I find that reply disturbing.

Further, it seems contrary to all social network configurations. If a member becomes abusive or violates posting rules, then an admin can deleted the account involuntarily. I have a difficult time believing this platform is different.

I will simply point out that it is the law in the EU that your posts can be deleted at your request. If you were based in the EU, you could take legal action.

Thanks for that observation. Of course, I do not desire to take legal action or to spend a lot of time on this. I just want to delete my account.
