Will not be the last! Will not be satisfied until all of Ukraine in back under his thumb.

Russia and Germany are going to end up splitting the Ukraine.

How small is the penis of Mr. Poopin'?

An old man sentimentally pining for a boner and the USSR status quo of the 20th century.

In 1950 Nobel laureate Hermann Hesse asked in a letter: "Why in these 12 years of the Nazi regime none out of 80 million Germans was able to shoot this fellow?" (The Barking Monster).

And another, a Zappa quote: "Bullets can't stop it! Rockets can't stop it! We may have to use NUCLEAR FORCE!"

(Replace "it" by "him")

In 1945 my mother and my grandmother had been raped by Soviet soldiers. Now she is 95 years old and she is not much interested to meet a Russki again.

There's nothing like bona fide aggression to make everyone want to give war a chance. Of course, you are in a horrible position to ponder the literal use of 'Nuclear Force.' The US military guys used to joke that the definition of a 'tactical nuclear weapon' is 'one that explodes in Germany.'

The plan of Biden and others to not attempt to directly stop Russian aggression, but to make it very very costly, seems well-considered. But no plan ever survives contact with the enemy, to again quote commonplace military wisdom....

'Russia attacks Ukraine' Headline at the Post

"Russia on Thursday launched a military assault against Ukraine, President Biden said, with explosions occurring across a wide swath of the country, in what the president called an “unjustified attack” that signals “a premeditated war.”

The explosions could be heard in Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, and Kharkiv, in the country’s northeast. A senior Ukrainian official said there were also explosions at the country’s largest airport, in Kyiv. Air raid sirens were going off in the capital, though the official said that they were intended to wake up residents and that there were no indications of incoming warplanes.

The attacks came as Russian President Vladimir Putin declared the launch of a “special military operation” to carry out the “demilitarization and denazification” of Ukraine and end eight years of war in the country’s east, where Kyiv government forces have been fighting Russian-backed separatists.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has declared martial law, a Ukrainian government official said Thursday. Biden and his Ukrainian counterpart were speaking on the phone just before midnight Eastern time, according to a White House official.

In a statement, Biden said that Putin “has chosen a premeditated war that will bring a catastrophic loss of life and human suffering.”

“Russia alone is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will bring, and the United States and its Allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive way,” he said. “The world will hold Russia accountable.”"

I don't think the Ukrainians are going to go quietly into the night to please Putin and his gang.

Tragic, unneeded and ultimately fruitless.

It's guy's like Frank and movies like Doctor Strangelove that helped many young impressionable Americans figure out that mutually assured destruction was indeed mad. And then came Vietnam. And now we have Cold War II. NATO's strategy and tactics are outdated. The EU needs to take the lead regardless of Biden's political needs at home. After all, Obama wasn't much help either. (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne...ian_Federation)

With the drums on both sides sounding loudly, it's easy to want war if it's death and destruction are not occurring at or close to home.

I don't think Russia and Liberal Western Democracy are a good mix.

As long as Putin or any like him know the threat of a nuclear response is not there. Little will stop them. Ukraine giving up it's weapons allowed this to happen. The west assured them it would protect them...

Sanctions only work if implemented and enforced by a large group. Not allowing, overlooking operations and transactions to continue. Slipping through the cracks. Putin knows that he will have enough who still want his money, resources that he will prevail.

He is winning and knows it. I'm afraid he will not even when faced with a defeat negotiate in good faith. Be willing to go down in flames taking everyone with him. I lose everybody loses...

Failing to Understand Evil: Then And Now

Strike when the enemy is weak. They both have until this November and they know it. Taiwan will be next. Attack or blockade. Either will work.
