If you have anything that uses 12AU7s, get you some and try them. I'm running a little single 12AU7 tube headphone amp in my work truck and have been rolling tubes for about a week. I happen to notice that one of my sub books said 12AV7 is plug and play for 12AU7 so I dug up an NOS Sylvy and plugged it in today. Holy shit, it's like a totally different amp. The bass is tighter than little sister, wonderful midrange, and highs out past where I can hear. I rolled a bunch of tubes through this because it really points the weaknesses out, but this tube has none. They are dirt cheap on ebay too, so I bought a shitload of them today. They're like 5 bux a tube for NOS.
