Jones Declared Winner!

FU Moore! FU, Trump! FU, Bannon!

finnbow 12-12-2017 09:33 PM

The recriminations should be entertaining to watch.

epifanatic 12-12-2017 09:41 PM

My faith in humanity is (somewhat) restored.

And yes, the fallout will be very entertaining.

Chicks 12-12-2017 09:45 PM

Trump: I never met Roy Moore, no idea who he is, lol.

epifanatic 12-12-2017 09:53 PM

Next come the cries of voter fraud.

Jones Declared Winner!

Husband and I watching it on tv.

Our prediction is that Trump will blame the media for fake news, the system for being rigged and demand a re count.

Oh yea... it will be Hilarys fault that Moore lost.

Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!

Well, well, well. :D

I must confess, I thought they'd surely steal this one for the disgraced judge Moore.

I'll be a monkey's uncle. ;)

Source close White House: "This is an earthquake... it's devastating for the President"

From CNN's Jim Acosta

A source close to the White House says tonight's result is "devastating for the President."

"This is an earthquake," the source said. "It's Virginia but on steroids."

This source put some of the blame on Steve Bannon. "The President has egg on his face," because of Bannon, the source added.

Bannon told Trump if Moore lost, Democrats would feel emboldened to go after the President on sexual harassment issues, this source who is familiar with Bannon's pleas to Trump explained.

"That's why Trump had to do this," the source continued.

"The President invested his political capital and it blew up in his face," the source added

A separate source who advises the White House said "this is bad."

"The RNC and White House political shop must feel uneasy about their futures," this source added.

bobabode 12-12-2017 10:28 PM

What's that smell wafting on the breeze? Must be Trump's shitty combover catching on fire. :D

Chicks 12-12-2017 10:31 PM

Idiot Moore refusing to concede.

epifanatic 12-12-2017 10:32 PM

Moore spokesman just announced they are not conceding.
Here we go.......

bobabode 12-12-2017 10:41 PM

Jones (D)

670,551
49.9%

Moore (R)
649,240
48.4%

Total Write-Ins
22,777
1.7%
WaPo

Looks like the write-ins told Moore where to stick it and how far. (grin)

Rajoo 12-12-2017 10:41 PM

One of the best 1 hr 20 min commute ever.
Doug Jones was losing by 8 points when I left my office and miraculously was declared winner just as I got home. I expected Moore to win, glad that I was wrong. :)

Congratulation to Mr. Doug Jones.

The real winner today is McConnel.

AL Secretary of State basically said pretty much zero chance of automatic recount. Moore just being a stubborn idiot. He must be related to Whell, lol.

Just do not understand why they call this asshole Judge Moore, even on his campaign poster.
Wasn't he removed twice from the Alabama Supreme court?
He spent this weekend in Philadelphia hiding from the reporters.
Coward and good riddance.

The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!

Um, sorry Donny, you endorsed Roy Moore. Alzheimer’s setting in? Moron.

The Republicans right now must feel like they're stuck on the tracks and the train's coming.

d-ray657 12-13-2017 08:06 AM

It would be interesting to know how many of the people who voted against Moore actually rejected his politics more than his hypocrisy.

Oerets 12-13-2017 08:29 AM

Not at all the result I expected.
Maybe now the 70% of Republican voters not totally in love with the President have seen thru him.

NAW!:D

Way to go Alabama!

Wow, more than 90% of Fake News Media coverage of me is negative, with numerous forced retractions of untrue stories. Hence my use of Social Media, the only way to get the truth out. Much of Mainstream Meadia has become a joke! @foxandfriends

African American Voters Made Doug Jones a U.S. Senator in Alabama

Payback time to Doug Jones who prosecuted the KKK bombing of a church which killed four black girls in Alabama. The black people were energized to vote, perhaps Mr. Obama's robocalls were more effective that from the Moron in Chief. Great story, especially overcoming the voter suppression.

A day after losing the Senate race in Alabama to Democrat Doug Jones, Roy Moore has issued a new statement refusing to concede the election until completion of the final count. But it wasn’t your typical post-election statement.

It was a four-minute fire-and-brimstone video about abortion, same-sex marriage, school prayer, sodomy and “the right of a man to claim to be a woman and vice versa.”

“We are indeed in a struggle to preserve our republic, our civilization and our religion and to set free a suffering humanity,” Moore said. “Today, we no longer recognize the universal truth that God is the author of our life and liberty. Abortion, sodomy and materialism have taken the place of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...

We have allowed Judges and justices to rule over our Constitution, and we have become slaves to their tyranny. Immorality sweeps over our land.”

Chicks 12-14-2017 08:15 AM

Roy Moore clearly has no understanding of the Constitution. Or the pursuit of happiness.
