Rickey, I think that is exactly why the House sent it to the Senate, right before the midterms. Voters can note who is voting for or against.

I foresee considerable fear mongering from the NRA contingent in the Senate.

THEY'RE COMING TO TAKE OUR GUNS AWAY!!!

NRA contingent being virtually every GOPper in the Senate & the House sucking down those well washed Putin rubles.

Yep.

Get them on the record as supporting military grade guns over schoolkids getting murdered.

I agree. The Senate will nitpick it to no end and make sure that this does not come to a vote, of course blaming the Democrats for violating for some conjured up rights.

Lets not forget, only right to own and bear arms are mentioned in the constitution, not guns of any type.

...and only for a Well-regulated militia...

Yaaawnn. Same ol' same ol. I really don't have a dog in the fight as I don't own, nor have any need for an AR or the like, but to me it gets kind of old seeing both parties over the years wasting time drafting legislation that they KNOW is doomed when they could focus on things that might stand a chance. I dunno, maybe we have too many laws and that's all they can come up with anymore. Kinda like Hollywood and movies...no originality left. Guess I just remember the days when copy and paste was cheating and glue.
