Berliners Attacked While Christmas Shopping

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...=.139f9762d5ba

Coward mows down dozens of Berliners with a semi, kills 12 outright, while they were shopping for their Christmas holiday. Daesh (Isis) claims responsibility.

What a tragedy.

I have not heard a lot about this.
One can only hope they get the perpetrator.

The sick Arschloch lost (or left? how cool would that be?) his sort of passport (not an actual passport but a "Duldungsbescheinigung" - "temporary permit of stay") at the scene of crime. Now there is an unprecedented manhunt all across Europe in order to arrest him. He is very dangerous and he is armed.

Latest: fingerprints of Anis Amri were found on the door of the truck.

I understand the fear and outrage from citizens in countries having to deal with tragic events like this one. What needs to be also remembered living in a free and open society, one with compassion towards their fellow man. There will always be the potential for events like this one.
Do the citizens want stricter laws enacted for protection? Yes I'm afraid they will. That is exactly what evil wants to happen.

I must also ask, just where is the outrage and public unrest when you have the causes of the refugee crisis going so far seemingly unfettered?

This can only be answered in the context of the German history of 1933-1945. In this context the Germans felt in a way obliged to act like they did in 2015/early 2016. Everybody of the Germans knows - and Merkel knows best - that this was in the end a mistake.

Regarding to the laws - not only the citizens, but the politicians as well - so the corresponding laws will be reformed very soon.

It is inconceivable that sensible people could do this to themselves.

Up to now the lady refuse to put a cap on the numbers poring into her country.
And unfortunately for the Germans, because of the lady's loud invitation most of the refugees/migrants head for Germany.

Regardless of what the media wants to show, the mass coming to Europe are mainly male of arm bearing age.

They are coming from war ravaged Muslim countries where the salafist influence is strong.

They came in with minimum vetting which now makes it extremely difficult to deport even the most heinous criminal.

After observing what was happening in Belgium and Sweden, how could the lady be so naive?

One man who saw and understood what was happening put up barriers to the massive horde of young men heading for German through Hungary. He was often vilified.

ISIS instruction is simply: You do not need explosive...just drive large vehicles into crowd.

That is too bad, they're taking a page out of US dropping the ball on terrorism. Although I doubt Germany has the NRA buying hassle free access to guns for terrorists like we do.

Dondillon - instead of repeating zillion times (I know how much you enjoy it) what went wrong, the "why" you will never get because you are no German, we should start to discuss realistic solutions - realistic according to the German Grundgesetz.
