The dead man killed another 11 years ago, just by punching him, in a road rage incident. Shows the risks of adults engaging in a fist fight. Sounds like a justified shoot under FL 'stand your ground' in this case. And yes, poetic justice.

Sounds like a justified shoot period and Kudos to the shooter for exercising his second amendment rights to rid the world of this dirtbag.

+1 for a good guy with a gun. :)

"They were going back and forth in a road rage incident, and the shooter reportedly had tried to avoid and evade him, and at some point, the deceased guy ended up getting in front of him and stopping in the middle of the roadway and getting out and came back and confronted him,"
If the above is true, you don't need the stand your ground law. He tried to evade, got trapped, feared for his life.
Correctly identifying the guy as a dirtbag and being glad he's gone is not angry rhetoric, it's an honest and justified commentary on the bright side of the story.

I edited the part of my post where I quoted you in order to spare you further embarrassment. ;)

It is for situations just like this one that I always keep a gun in my car.

Since I drive the sped limit and obey all traffic laws I often incur the wrath of other motorists that are in too damned big of a hurry to drive safely. I expect that the chances are good that one of these days one of these morons isn't going to be satisfied with just tailgating, horn blowing, light flashing and finger waving and go off on me.

On my recent trip to Canada I had to leave my guns at home. That was a bit unnerving until I got across the border.

I found the Canadian drivers to be much more courteous and patient. Even though I was a tourist who didn't always know where he was going. As soon as I crossed the border my GPS went essentially dark. Apparently it's data base for Canada is very sketchy. So, I'm sure my driving was annoying. At any rate, while I was in Canada I did not at any time feel uncomfortable without a gun. I can't quite describe it but the atmosphere is different there. My conclusion is that in Canada, at least in the Maratime provinces where I was, the number of psychopaths per 100,000 population is substantially less than it is in the US.

You are right. Canada is a more sane society than ours. I've noticed it too.

The number in Canada went up slightly while you were there, while it went down slightly in the US.:p

thats odd the last time I was up there in Toronto mine worked fine as long as you had the right zip.
Ironic that the guy died the same way he killed. :(
