Thanks! Lovers of jazz and piano music are fortunate to still have Fred with us.
BTW can you discern a substantive difference with Chesky High Resolution?

Vicodin? I have about a hundred of those pills. My doctor keeps throwing them at me and I keep only taking them at bed time. If I were a less ethical character, I guess I could sell them and make a buck. But, no. Everytime I have a thought like that my old man pops into my head and bellows; "Are you paralyzed from the neck up?"

He still keeps me in line, even from the grave.

Henryk Gorecki, Symphony No. 3

Noneshuch/Elektra CD

Not the most "uplifting" music in the world, but beautiful in a dark sort of way.

So last night, I needed some music to blow off steam. Got home around 11:30 and my wife had gone to work. You'd be surprised at how much energy my little Sansui 5000x can put behind Led Zepplin II. 10:00 on the volume was just low enough to keep the neighbors from calling.

Regards,

D-Ray

You've seen the beasts I've built, right? Dude, last night I broke out my trusty old RadioShack analog decibel meter. From the listening chair, (~15"), just over 100db (A weighted.) with 2 watts indicating on the MA6900s meters!:D

Right now, I'm spinning Dire Straights "Love over Gold"........:)

My 1000x could crank out some serious sound.....before it went claws up for the third time. Now it just sits on a shelf.
