Oh yes. Elementary school in Los Angeles during the '60s. They had a gawd awful air raid siren mounted up on a steel pole that vibrated the fillings in your teeth.
We'd file out into the hallway and sit against the wall or climb under our desks. When I got a bit older I had a poster with specific instructions on putting your head firmly between your knees and to blow a goodbye kiss at your asshole.
