I've let my "lawn" go wild and the results are indeed amazing. Now there are at least 15 different plants growing in the front yard, although not so many in the back. I think the back being basically surrounded by the house an 8' fence keeps the volunteer plants out. I don't water or mow. For most of the year mine is the greenest lawn an the block.  Last spring I pointed this out to my neighbor who promptly replied that it was mostly weeds. I told her a weed is an unwanted plant.
Dallas has a very liberal code and as long as the plants growing are naturally occurring anything goes. |
Creating healthy soil must become the norm & no longer be the exception.
