Since when is a lie automatically the opposite of a truth? I've had dozens, maybe more, pathological liars in my caseloads over the years. They lie for no purpose, no reason, other than for some bizarre emotional benefit they get, out of the reactions of those they're lying to. And it has nothing to do with truth.
