It's funny how much historians know about music. Recently I heard one talking about Jimi Hendrix and how scary his music was at the time. He refreshed a memory.

It was around 1980 when I learned of Jimi Hendrix. Ted Nugent and Black Sabbath were probably the scariest sounds on mainstream radio then, and I like them. But when I heard Jimi Hendrix, yeah, that stuff scared me. But I liked it, too.
