So far in my close to 42 years on this planet I have change my stance on this issue 3 times. I used to be strongly for and then later in my mid 20s flip flopped.
As I grow older and have become hardened to todays violent society I feel so have the criminals. Locking them up for long terms give them nothing but time to plan their next act of violence.
Seriously how long can we keep the criminally insane locked up without making them more unstable ?
My stance now ( pro death penalty ) has little to do with the money it costs to keep them locked up but rather there is no deterrent.
If you kill someone heres your 6x8 cell with bubba. Thats just not enough anymore.
By the way I am not advocating the DP for anything other then the taking of ones life.
