The photography dep't. was so antiquated they were still using Speed Graphics...old view cameras with billows. Think of raccoon coats and fedora's with press cards in the brim.
I have to admit, if you were capable of taking a photo with one of them, and processing it in their darkroom, you had at least mastered the mechanics of photography. The old Graphics were so tedious I went out and bought a Pentax.

So do you still do anything with the camera? With your eye for detail as a builder, I'll bet you would also have a good eye for composition. I always marvel at the ability some people have to visualize spaces.
I had some darkroom equipment for awhile, but didn't have a suitable room for it after we moved back to Norman. I was kinda busy for those three years anyway. Nowadays, I'm spoiled by the ease of digital.
