BTW, aren't capitalism and consumerism sides of the same coin? The following is an example of MIC consumerism, marketing being an important consumerism component:
I was working on a report where we were looking into the Air Force's effort to contract out overall logistics responsibility to the manufacturers of low-density high-demand aircraft. Lockheed has a few of them, and the two F-35 prototypes were living in the Skunkworks hanger that also contained the conference room where we were discussing Lockheed's LDHD C-130 programs. The F-35 is one cool looking plane, though not as cool as the F-16.
