Interesting combo. I pulled a Zeke and went on a PBR then Coors binge, but fortunately, I just listened to loud rock music and maintained enough control to refrain from posting or taking out my JBL 077 tweeters.

Currently, I'm drinking Kirkland Expresso Blend.

Add a mint leaf or two and you've got a Mint Julep and an obscure reference to General Sherman. I've been in a historical mood today! JBLs eh. Which ones? I seem to recall you mentioning 250s? I've got the L80t3s hooked up to my Maggie tube amps so, no danger of blowing out a tweeter with those though.

L65As that belonged to my dad. Once I raised them 18 inches off the ground and toed them in a bit, I finally started to really enjoy them. I do, however, think the L65s sell for too much. I've been a long term Magnepan user, but now rotate with the L65s and a modified pair of Klipsch KG4s. You're still using the Vandy 3s?

Yep, the Vandy threes are in the main system downstairs in the living room. The office system in our second bedroom gets 90% of the playtime though.
Someday I'll build some tubeage for those Vandys but the power requirements are daunting to say the least. Richard vandersteen recommends 100watts minimum as they have those subs built in. They do nicely with the Adcom 555s I have now.

As I stated before, I had my Vandies running off of twin 555s once...That is an amazing combo. If I were you, I would stick with that and go with a tube preamp------You'll LOVE it, I gair-on-tee!
