Honestly, Don, I'm shocked that nobody else knows about hunters safety.
I guess it shouldn't come as a shock, being that most kids that move here from the west coast claim life here is nothing like where they came from. I'm starting to realize how much the ways of life must really vary from east to west and north to south and in between.

Hunter's Safety is taught at a number of locations locally and has been mandatory for prospective hunters for several decades around here. It is not taught in schools, however.

It isn't taught by the teachers here, but it's held & taught in the school. I guess they figure since the kids are already there..

It sounds like an afterschool club (extracurricular) with permission from the parents. How would you feel about an extracurricular club for gays & lesbians in your local high school?

More like rural to suburban to urban, as I see it. I grew up in the country in Northeast Ohio, Dave, but just never took to the country lifestyle. I have nothing against it, that's just my choice. I've lived in fairly sizeable city since 1986 now, and love it. I go home to visit and quickly get bored. Everything is just too far away and the setting too isolated from the world.

That's what the paddles are for.

Lived in the boonies for a year and while I liked a lot about it, other than heating the house with firewood we felled on the property, it was a drag to have to drive 15 miles to a decent grocery store and civilization. We did have an old mean Morgan we used for a lawnmower. Other than that I've been a city boy for most of my life. We do try to get out and do some camping in the national forests we have all around here. California is pretty spectacular in that regard, you can be in the wild within two or three hours easy.

Why you dirty old man! But that's a different club Jack. S/M? Never had that bent , I'm as happy as a clam with my wife Patty in a heterosexual lifestyle. I do think the LGBT part of our country oughta have the same rights as the rest of us, though. Hell I agree with Mitt on one thing. I think polygamy ought to be legal if approached in a responsible manner. Too much Robert Heinlein in my misspent youth, I guess.

Oh, man. I wouldn't voice my opinion on that one. If they started a club like that I'd just make myself some popcorn and watch the locals start beating people with bibles.
