Vacationing in the People's Soci@list Republic ...

... of Canuckistan. My wife and I are taking our first extended trip now that we're empty-nesters. We'll be spending 2 weeks in Canada - 2 nights each in Montreal and Quebec City and 10 days in the Maritime Provinces (NB, NS, PEI) and back home along the coast of Maine.

We're going to focus some of our efforts on the Celtic music on Nova Scotia as well as scarfing lobster.

When you said "People's republic," I thought you were coming to California. Have a grand time in Canada.

I've spent a few weeks in Ontario. The people are very nice.....and very healthy looking too. Not so many lard-asses.

The beer is MUCH better than the already decent Canuckian beer they sell down here.

However,

I have to warn you, the depravity in the strip clubs is shocking. It took several trips for me to fully realize just how shocking it really was, and I think I may have to do more research in the future to fully grasp the depth of it.

I'm not sure if my wife's interested in that form of entertainment. Of course, with all that soci@lism and socialized healthcare going one, I suspect that many will appear deprived and depraved.

Canada is a great place. In Detroit we refer to their gentlemens entertainment as the ballet.

That sounds like a great get away Pat. Fall colors ought to be in full swing. Take a laptop so you can keep in touch and don't forget the camera! Cause, "Without pics it never happened!" as they say over at that other site.
