They do. Maybe they should stop teaching them to read and think for themselves? After all, the GOP has to ensure it's future.

So will someone pleas explain the brilliant logic in grading, oh say a history teacher, or a geography teacher, or a music teacher on how well their students have performed in a Math and English test?
I guess my poor old brain just can't grasp the logic.

As one who knows something about unions and strikes. For the teachers to go out and still be out there must be more to this then what is being told in the media.
I think one of the big holdups is not calling back 100% of laid off workers before hiring new. What was the offer 30%?

The OECD reports that American students rank 33rd out of 33 countries in reading proficiency. Mexico ranks 31st in this category. We should loosen our immigration policies. More Mexican kids in our schools might bump our ranking up a bit. We do fare slightly better in some categories. In Math, we are 27th out of 33 and in Science, the country that invented the automobile, the internet and Cheese Whiz is ranked 22nd.

Or the airplane.
And, I recently read that it was Tesla and not Marconi that submitted the first patent for a workable radio transmitter and receiver.

This explains the popularity of the Republican Party and why so many right-wingers think Americans invented everything, the government had no hand in building our massive infrastructure and that no good ideas ever came out of Europe.
Perhaps if we put God back in the classroom, all will instantly be well once again?

Yep, it was brother Karl Benz. I guess the teachers did fail once or twice? Or was it their parents? Loads of the homeschooled in the Republican camp.

You are correct.... And off on a tangent.
Think about it this way- most kids these days won't be able to read my mistake.
