Hey, if you are part of the 47% you won't be expected to pay that ambulance bill...... (sarcasm alert!)

We actually do pay income tax, not a lot because my pension is taxed in Canada at the non-resident rate, so I get credit for that here. Big debate in the next county about ambualance fees.

To answer your question, it's only with you sweetcheeks. Whining loser acolytes of Prince Rat Priebus tend to bring that out in me.

I went home and came back the next day and it still took 4 hours to get the blood tests. The intern decided that I did not need the other tests our doctor wanted, BTW our doctor is one of the best diagnosticians around. So he sent me to other places. I drove from one end of the county to the other for X-rays, MRI, more Ultrasounds - at least I was not pregnant, that much they found. Oh BTW the hospital is Johns Hopkins affiliated. Now If I did not have a car I would have been SOL.
sounds like overkill on the imaging...torn meniscus is usually just an MRI ...the x-rays are only to rule out bone damage....ultrasounds? Unless they were worried about a blood clot I would think they would not be necessary.

They saw a nicely dressed, well spoken, well educated man, made the assumption that there had to be money somewhere, and set out to pry as much out of him as they could, his pocket, insurance, what ever is available. YMMV.

No our doctor was concerned about the possibility of blood clots and the x-ray was my lungs because he heard what he thought might have been liquid. Actually Medicare is prime, Care First only picks up what part B does not cover. When we get the CMS reports it says the practitioner billed $550, Medicare say not worth more that $250, paid 80%% of that and care First picks up the 20% and says you owe nothing, nada.

Unfortunately several trees were sacrificed in the process, as at each place I had to fill out about 4 or 5 pages. Canada saved trees as there were no forms, just my card. So who has the bureaucracy?

Damn M.D.s are all crooks... Oops, you rightys must've meant the for big profit hospitals & their blue ribbon/cross death panels. Maybe the PPACA will address this once fully implemented. Naaaah, it can only be addressed by the next logical step, which is a single payer option. That is where the Prez is going with it. Nationalized healthcare? You bet your bippy, brother. No more crooks getting fat off the health of the nation. I see it as a national security issue and I hope Obama does too. So hold onto your wigs, fellas. I see an executive order comin' down the pike, since congress is forcing the executive branch into governing by decree. That's what happens when filibusters are de riguer and the tactic du jour. The Republicans and their teaparty standard bearers are the ones doing it, if you rightys haven't noticed. Those turds are the biggest threat to what is left of the Constitution, not some soft hearted liberals.

I may be wrong about all of this but only if we take the House back and hold the Senate. The White House is looking like a foregone conclusion more and more, every day that R$R keep putting their feet in their mouths. No candidate has ever dug themselves out of the hole that these two have put your party in.
President Obama's and Vice-President Jumpin' Joe's coat tails are getting bigger and bigger thanks to Heckle and Jekyll. Thanks!

Sorry if I come off as ascerbic but you're coming off as a wiseacre.
It is my understanding that the only way it got through the supreme court was for it to be considered a tax. I wasn't coming off as a wiseacre, you were interpreting it that way. Be accountable. I am not wanting off my insurance plan, I just don't think people should be complaining about a possible small tax penalty and having access to medical care, as poor as it may be. They could be paying a lot more.

For some reason the word "TAX" always just gets peoples blood boiling. What this all all about in my eyes is for some reason or another there are still people who do not want to pay for health insurance. Resent the fact they are forced to buy into the program. Or both!

But yet when sick still will go to receive care and may make others pay the higher cost due to this. Lets face it everyone will get sick and need to see a medical professional. Just like car insurance you hate paying for it but are glad when it is needed. This is all about taking responsibility nothing else.

Now if it had been setup like I wanted as a single payer taken out with SS then it might of seemed a little less painful. Writing a check once a month verses a deduction out of the pay check sorta thing ya know.
