Ah, schadenfreude, how I do love thee!
If this continues the way it appears to be going, with renewed indications of the RNC's long and sordid history of systematic election fraud, the utter incompetence of Romney and his campaign and the political gang war cooked up by the Teabaqggers, I really think there's a better than even chance that the Republicans are finished.

Reading through the comments, one responent quotes a Goldman Sachs exec as telling congress that his company is; "...doing Gods work."
I recall when David Broderick, CEO of USS made the announcement that USS was permanently shuttering nearly half of it's mills nationwide in 1981. When the (natural) outcry came from the affected communities, he lashed back with; "I don't know why everyone is attacking us (management). We're on the side of the angels, here."
"God", Angels"..........No, these people don't see themselves as Kings, ordained by God to rule over the rest of us.
Not at all.
Regards,
Dave

With respect to wealthy capitalists seeing themselves in a divine light, there is a reason for that. There are many definitions of capitalism. The one we all know and agree on is capitalism is an economic system where the means of production are privately owned.
The definition that most people don't know is rooted in philosophy and the eternal quest for truth. That definition says that money is akin to a vote for truth, e.g. a measure of what man wants. The people with the most money therefore are closer to the truth, e.g. divinity. In this regard capitalism is viewed more as a quasi-religious ~ism than an economic ~ism.
During the same bailout period that Lloyd Blankfein, GoldmanSach's CEO, claimed that he was doing God's work, Alan Greenspan noted that he had found a hole in his belief of how the universe worked, i.e. the truth. People in the financial community have disagreed with me that Greenspan was referring to philosophy. They claim that Greenspan was actually referring to inaccuracies in financial models. What they are forgetting or neglecting is that Alan Greenspan co-authored the philosophical text on the topic in concert with his philosophical mentor -- none other than Ayn Rand.
Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal by Ayn Rand, Alan Greenspan, et al.

It is blatantly the most hateful book I have read, and that's after reading Mein Kampf.

I considered reading her books once. Then a friend of mine suggested I watch the YouTube videos of her interviews first.
"After that, you won't want to touch any of the evil shit she wrote."
He was right.

It contains turd berries of knowledge such as this:
Hillbillies are too stupid to understand how transmitters work. Therefore they should not be able to own radio stations.
It would be awesome if Chet Atkins and Dolly Parton burned that Ayn Rand skank at the stake.

That was Blankfein himself! Rotten bastards, all of 'em, but he may be the worst.

Unfortunately everybody picks on hillbillies. Obviously, they are more than intelligent enough to operate a transmitter, and build a still, and the fast cars used to distribute their product. So, it would appear that Rand was wrong about that too.

Rand took over 1000 pages, Gordon Gekko summed it up in three words - greed is good.
