The fiscal cliff is the so-called sequestration, which would cause massive cuts across the boards, in combination with the expiration, in toto, of the Bush tax cuts all at once. This sudden exodus of funds from the economy would run it off of a cliff.

D-Ray

So, the Republicans leave town with this sword of Damocles looming over all of our heads. It's impeachably gross incompetence if not treason.

Yep. But, they will blame it all on the re-election of Obama. You see, if we re-elect Obama, sequestration happens + guys like Dave Siegal dump their employees and it's....ready for this?......Obamas fault......or OUR fault, essentially, because we voted for the wrong guy. See how that works?
You see, it goes like this; A billionaire has his Republican flunky point a gun in your face. Then he tells you to hand over your medicare and your SS, and pay whatever taxes he no longer wishes to pay or something terrible will happen......so "Hurry the f**k up and do it! Come on, I'm trying to save your life here!"
Get the picture?
Regards,
Dave

Hell, the Dems couldn't even pass a budget. They did stop healthcare from falling off a cliff though

It is all this ever was about, no doubt about it. But it is all they got other than to waffle on everything he ran his primary on.

The only relevance of the fiscal cliff to this thread is to demonstrate the hypocrisy of the GOP. The fiscal cliff presents a real consequential issue for Congress to address. Congress went into recess without resolving it, but nevertheless, had time to engage in some showboating by conducting a hearing on the attack on the consulate. And that hearing resulted in the exposure of intelligence information.

D-Ray

In the article, it seems more like the admin went too far covering up.
