In that, karma returned the favor via Orson Welles' classic "Citizen Kane"s thinly veiled portrayal of his enormous ambition and even larger ego.
See the wiki article on Roscoe Arbuckle for the known story on the events, also see "The cat's meow" back story for further insight into W. R. Hearst's character.
Furthermore, the Spanish American War is ofttimes referred as "Hearst's war" for good reason. It sold Hearst papers as did L'affair Arbuckle.
Back to the disappointment over the Cos's travails and his fan/ supporters' general sense of betrayal. It's going to take some serious fact finding in his behalf to fix this publicity disaster, otherwise it's Jimmy Saville, American style.

Funny how Hearst's ghost still stalks the ghost of Arbuckle, nasty business there, edit - and a bad example on my part.

Who gave Bill Clinton a free pass? And nothing was ever concluded on the Clarence Thomas / Anita Hill affair. As for Herman Cain, who knows?

The truth never catches up to the lies shoveled-out by dishonest media.

Yeh, right. Cause Lewinsky was forced into it, eh?
You're still the all time winner of the false equivalency derby here Zero.
Tell you what, send me your addy and I'll see if I can get you a blue ribbon made from the dress.

Let me throw out another faux equivalency.
Clinton got impeached for the Monica affair which had absolutely Zero impact to the country or it's economy; yet Bush and Cheney got reelected for invading Eye-rack and wrecking the US economy.

Yeah, the whole Iraq deal was rather stupid.
But, Cain, Thomas, and Cosby with his comments about black behavior were certainly looked upon with disdain by the liberal civil rights leaders who keep racism the only reason for black problems.
And, this alleged activity by Cosby is unfortunate because he like Barkley was one of the few blacks of importance to address the self inflicted problems that blacks have.
I'm certain that a few of those leaders are not unhappy to see him diminished.

Funny how the conservatives were ecstatic when the 'Coz' went on his grumpy old man's rant about pulling up their pants eh?
He did it to himself, tough shit.
