I dunno, sounds like a rational plan of action to me, but then I'm not a conservative. I don't understand how they "think".

Trump had to get Sessions to announce the end DACA .

The POTUS did not want to look bad in the news. Really !!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no humanity in our democracy either.
Twenty state attorney generals wrote to Trump letting him know that they will defend DACA in their states. Ten state attorney generals led by led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton were just threatening to sue the administration on DACA.
So the ten states led by Texas trumps twenty states.
Adding to this insult, Texas congressional delegation is making it's round in DC with their hands out for hurricane Harvey relief. Screw Texas and the horses they rode on, with my apology to the horses since they are not responsible for their masters actions.
