Students can already pray in schools. There's nothing illegal in that. What is illegal is having the school conduct official prayer. Separation of Church and State is a two way street. It's just as important to control interference from religion in State matters as it is to keep the State out of the pulpit.
I get the feeling that you're against the latter but are perfectly fine with the former. The only trouble is the logical outcome is to end up with State funded Christian madrassas. You down with that, homey?
